Miss Universe 2019

Miss Universe 2019 aired December 8th and we were on the side of our chair the entire time. These competitions are always so bittersweet. Bitter due to the fact that so many amazing, beautiful (inside & out) and talented women are competing and only one can get crowned. It’s so sweet because the candidate that gets selected worked SO hard and deserves it. This year Zozibini Tunzi was crowned Miss Universe 2019! Between her stunting across stage in bikinis and gowns, she took home the prize when answering a question on social issues. Her response was, “I grew up in a world where a woman who looks like me — with my kind of skin and my kind of hair — was never considered to be beautiful,” in addition, “I think it is time that that stops today. I want children to look at me and see my face and I want them to see their faces reflected in mine.” Congratulations to Miss Universe 2019!

Yes, beautiful and very smart indeed. If it weren’t for that answer and all judges being women Puerto Rico should have won the crown but after what she said the tables change….🤷‍♀️
